MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

The mission of St. Rose Elementary is to empower students to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners in order to make a positive impact on society.

St. Rose Elementary School, originally built in the 1970s, moved to its current state-of-the-art facility in 2003. Our school offers an education for all students, providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential by participating in numerous academic programs and the arts.

SCPPS Earns "A" District Rating

The Louisiana Department of Education has released the 2025 school and district performance scores for K-12 public schools statewide. For the fourth year in a row, St. Charles Parish Public Schools saw an increase in its district performance score, becoming an “A” school district for the first time since Louisiana’s current accountability system took effect in 2017-2018.

Students of the Year Honored at Annual Ceremony

Destrehan High School's Cecilia Cody, J.B. Martin Middle School's Kenidee Miranda, and St. Rose Elementary School's Akshay Parasuraman were announced as St. Charles Parish Public Schools' 2025-2026 Students of the Year at a ceremony held on November 13, 2025, at the Dr. Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center. Nine additional students were also recognized at the red carpet event as their individual school's Student of the Year.
